Veterinary Surgery Available

Tomten Has Closed

Our Veterinary building has been home to a small animal clinic for 75 years and is well known and well thought of locally.

The Surgery is an attractive L- shaped listed building which has been carefully repurposed to provide all that a modern surgery should have. Large reception area, consult room, prep/ultrasound/dental area, op theatre, x-ray, dog recovery, cat recovery, office and utility room.

The location is easy to find in a desirable and fast expanding semi-rural area. Close to Radlett, London Colney, St Albans, South Mimms, Potters Bar, Bushey, Watford, Mill Hill, Stanmore, Edgware. Parking on site. Very easy to reach from M25/A1/M1/A41.

This would ideally suit someone with drive and tenacity to bring something new to the area, a specialist, teaching facility or expansion/move of an existing Practice.

Other possibilities on site - Reception building/Second consult/Grooming room/ Office. Kennel building/Cattery may also be considered. Kennels and Cattery have recently closed.

Dear Clients,

I am really sorry, but Tomten Kennels and Cattery has closed. The high standards of care and attention could not reliably continue without maintaining a full, experienced and competent team, which I was unable to do.

This decision was not taken lightly and was made with animal welfare as my priority. I refuse to compromise my standards.

All clients with confirmed bookings for the remainder of 2019 have been contacted by e mail.

I have met so many lovely people and their animals over very many years and I will miss them all. Many of you remember my Mum and Dad, and the veterinary clinic that was in the house before we rebuilt 25 years ago. Thank you very much indeed for your loyalty, and for trusting us with the care of your four-legged family.

What next? I honestly don’t have a Plan B, as this life changing decision had to be made quickly. Clearly there is a large site including an 850sq ft building, currently the Veterinary Clinic, to re let. We hope to remain in the house and enjoy the Green Belt land around us, but the buildings need a purpose, any suggestions are welcome!

If you wish to keep an eye on this website, I plan to update it with further news when there is some.

My very best wishes to you all,

Samantha Gee
